Who are BHee?

The BHee project is delivered by a partnership of two organisations: Resource Futures and Sussex Wildlife Trust.

Resource Futures is a non-profit-distributing company specialising in helping others to use resources efficiently and effectively, minimising the impact of consumption on the environment now and for the future. They achieve this by working closely with schools, community organisations, Local Authorities, Government departments and companies.

Resource Futures’ experienced education team has worked with hundreds of schools across the country, supporting teachers and inspiring pupils to take care of the planet.

Katie EbersteinThe Sussex Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation organisation covering East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove. One of 47 local Wildlife Trusts working in partnership across the UK, Sussex Wildlife Trust is a registered charity supported by more than 33,500 members. They look after over 4500 acres of downland, woodland, wetland and heath. Their work also includes environmental education, working with land owners, businesses and local communities to conserve Sussex.

Sussex Wildlife Trust’s BHee Education Officer is Katie Eberstein. Katie started her career as a teacher, before developing and delivering Sussex Wildlife Trust’s popular Outreach Project. She has worked with schools across Sussex, delivering workshops in classrooms, school grounds and nearby open spaces, and inspiring pupils to value the wildlife around them. Katie is a trained Forest Schools Leader, and has extensive experience of supporting schools to develop and use their grounds for the good of wildlife and for learning.
